It shares the lessons learned by state association of nonprofits that participated in a three-year initiative, Building Capacity for Public Policy. An extensive evaluation of the Building Capacity for Public Policy (BCAPP) project identified eight indicators of capacity for state associations to effectively engage in public policy.
